FDA revises to widen the administered dose range of radioactive iodine for patients being prepared for remnant ablation using thyrogen
Thyrogen® (thyrotropin alfa for injection) contains purified recombinant form of human thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH). It is used as an adjunctive treatment for radioiodine ablation of thyroid tissue remnants in patients who have undergone a near-total or total thyroidectomy for well-differentiated thyroid cancer and who do not have evidence of distant metastatic thyroid cancer.
